Based on recommendations made by a state epidemiologist, Wilkin County Public Health and in consultation with our Incident Command Team (a focus group of school board, staff and community members), and in accordance with Executive Order 20-82: all Breckenridge Area Public Schools learners (grades PreK-12) will begin distance learning on Monday, November 23, 2020 and continue in distance learning through Friday, December 4. Tomorrow, Friday, November 20th, there will be no school for students. It will be a teacher planning day. This transition will not impact learners enrolled in Breckenridge Virtual Academy. We will reevaluate the situation around COVID-19 community spread the week of November 30. Our hope is to safely return to our in-person learning model PreK-12 on Monday, December 7.
Food Service and Fun Club will not be available Friday, November 20th. More information will be shared tomorrow regarding these services for November 23 - December 4th.
Information regarding Chromebooks and learning materials will be sent out by building principals tomorrow.
