School Social Worker
School Social Workers are the link between home, school, and community. As members of the educational team, School Social Workers promote and support students' academic and social success by providing specialized services.
As the Breckenridge School Social Worker my job has changed a bit over the past few years. I work primarily with grades 3 through 8 and we have a new School Counselor named Rikki Fischer that works primarily with grades K-2.
I work with students through classroom lessons, individual or small group work. Some of these areas of support may be:
Improving social skills, anger management, dealing with divorce, dealing with death or other transitions, managing friendships as well as mistreatment, academic difficulties or anxiety.
If you would like to find out more about the services or refer a child or if you would like outside resources please feel free to give me a call or email me at or my direct line is 218-641-4024.
"Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be".
