Welcome to the gym!!!
My name is Missy Johnson and I teach K-7 Physical Education and 8th-grade health. I also coach the B Squad volleyball team at the high school. I have just begun my 21st year in the Breckenridge Public School System. My husband and I live in Breckenridge and have 2 children.
I enjoy being active and working out. Some of my favorite activities include jogging, biking, rollerblading, weight lifting, golfing, and playing basketball and volleyball. I also try very hard to practice what I preach.
I am a true believer in being physically active and staying healthy. I have a strong passion to help keep our students in Breckenridge working toward becoming healthy, productive citizens. With obesity rates at an all-time high (1 in every 3 children is overweight or obese), it is more important than ever to stress to our youth, the importance of being active and staying active into adulthood. In physical education/health, our goal is not only to teach many different games, but to instill in our students, teamwork, cooperation, safety, and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
