"Serving the educational needs of students from Breckenridge, Brushvale, Doran, Everdell, Foxhome, McCauleyville, Kent and Wolverton"
Vision: Breckenridge Public Schools will prepare our students for academic and community success.

CAUTION! CRIME SCENE! DO NOT ENTER! CAUTION! CRIME SCENE! The Forensic Science I class is investigating their final crime scene. No paper and pencil final for this class! Instead, each team must investigate one of the four crime scenes to collect fingerprint, blood, and hair evidence. Team members are responsible for photographing & sketching the scene, documenting all evidence & photos, and identifying & collecting all evidence. This process requires a lot of team work and a great deal of deductive reasoning skills. Tomorrow, the teams will dust the evidence for latent fingerprints and compare to the six suspects' 10-print cards. Hopefully, another crime will be solved when the teams present their conclusions on Thursday! Forensic Science I & II are offered as elective science classes for Junior and Senior high school students. The course is instructed by Erin Johnson.

Welcome to the Breckenridge School District website.

We are proud to be called the “Home of the “Cowboys and Cowgirls”. Our school pride and spirit has a long standing tradition, which runs deep in our community.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the educational opportunities and services provided by the Breckenridge School District. Visit the website often as it continually changes with new information from the individual teacher areas with class updates and assignments to the activity schedule to upcoming events.

Our most recent accomplishments include our first place Suicide Prevention Video Award that we received in a video contest sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota State High School League. We placed second in our first year at the Bison Best Robotics Competition and competed at the regional robotics contest. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program has also been implemented at our school, as well as a number of new leadership opportunities for students.

Our K-12 enrollment is 770 students. We employ 120 staff members and have an annual budget of 8.3 million dollars.

Academics, arts and extra-curricular opportunities are what our school district is known for. We take great measures to provide a meaningful experience for all students to succeed. Academically, over 90 percent of our graduating classes go on to a post-secondary education. We also offer college classes and vocational explorations in which our students excel. Our students in Breckenridge are inspired by each other, challenged by rigor, and propelled by our faculty and staff to be the absolute best they can be.
