The Breckenridge High School Mathletes team completed their season on Monday February 12 at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls. They finished in 4th place just behind Moorhead, Alexandria, and Pelican Rapids. Eleventh grader Merrick Meyer was the top scorer for BHS this year. Merrick finished with 28 points also earning him 2nd Team All-Conference honors.

BHS One-Act play tied for 2nd place on Sat, Feb 3! Only 1st place advances to State One-Act. "Property Rites" by Alan Haenel was one of 8 plays to compete for the right to advance to state. Congratulations for a fantastic season to the Drama Department!


Congratulations to the Breckenridge Visual Art students! They won 6 of the 9 awards granted by nationally renowned artist, Michael Dunn, through the Red Door Art Gallery Breck/Wahp Student Show. Rut Tryggvadottir, Ollie Schmidt, and Liz Fischer all received Honorable Mention awards. Breck students swept the top three places with Shalie Lipp earning second place, Haley Braman first place, and Lexi Tschakert Best in Show. Thanks to all who attended and submitted artwork. Congratulations!

We are proud to be called the “Home of the “Cowboys and Cowgirls”. Our school pride and spirit has a long standing tradition, which runs deep in our community.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the educational opportunities and services provided by the Breckenridge School District. Our K-12 enrollment is 670 students. We employ 120 staff members and have an annual budget of 8.6 million dollars.
Academics, arts and extra-curricular opportunities are what our school district is known for. We take great measures to provide a meaningful experience for all students to succeed. Academically, over 90 percent of our graduating classes go on to a post-secondary education. We also offer college classes and vocational explorations in which our students excel. Our students in Breckenridge are inspired by each other, challenged by rigor, and propelled by our faculty and staff to be the absolute best they can be.
